A native Angeleno--moved a lot as a kid--lived in southern Utah and northern Idaho before settling in the pre-Silicon Valley to go to high school. College at Dartmouth, grad school at Yale: majored in and got a doctorate in Comparative Literature. Spent a year in Paris finishing my dissertation and getting together with my wife-to-be Tina (another Californian natch). Returned to LA and spent a lot of time doing project development in the film industry. Got into Web content development a little over ten years ago. Moved to the Ojai Valley NW of LA eight years ago. Tina and I opened a yoga studio, Yoga Jones, in Ventura about five years ago--she runs it, I worry. Have spent a lot of time studying meditation, primarily of the Theravada and Kagyu Tibetan Buddhist varieties.
