I am a poet, a mother, a dreamer and a corporate colleague. I am married to a teacher and have two inspiring children. I have degrees in English and commerce. I've taught economics and enterprise at high school, written textbooks, published poetry, written software documentation, managed money and people, and worked in various ways to advance the development and prospects of people and of technology products.

As varied as the world, but I'm particularly fascinated by the relationship between education, learning and knowledge, by culture and leadership, literature and poetry, the writing process, and sustainability. I love reading, music, native trees, wild weather and wilder landscapes, film, adventure and exploring, textiles and sewing, clever stand-up, mixed media and cooking. I am inspired by new ideas, interesting people with good stories to tell, great passion, willingness to take a risk and make a mistake, those who can suspend judgment, travel, the first steps that teenagers take as they begin to make their way in the world.
